UPDATE 3/25/19: We have filled the positions of Short Story Editor and Reviews Editor, but are still accepting applications for the nonfiction editor position.
Coffin Bell is in need of three new editors: a nonfiction editor, a short story editor, and a review editor. The duties and descriptions of these positions are as follows:
Nonfiction Editor: The Nonfiction Editor is responsible for reading all submissions in the Creative Nonfiction and Essay / Short Criticism categories, leaving comments on each submission, and casting votes via Submittable. Creative Nonfiction submissions have a turnaround time of eight weeks, whereas we allow three months to respond to Essay / Short Criticism submissions. Some social media posting required.
Short Story Editor: The Short Story Editor is responsible for reading 10-15 short stories per week, leaving comments on each submission, and casting a vote using Submittable. Some social media posting required.
Review Editor: The Review Editor is responsible for reading all Book Review submissions and casting votes via Submittable. Also, the Review Editor will read and review one book per month for the Coffin Bell blog. Some social media posting required.
