Kate Polak
For Pisces
This moon has no
hold over me.
I’ve given up blood as easily
as food, as much
as I hungered. There’s no
cause for alarm.
I am certain that tomorrow,
I will be
dancing at the edge
of the world.
The doves sound like boys
in passing cars.
A storm calls in the distance.
If it wants me
it will find me.
