Howl equal to snort equal to hiss equal
To silent shuffle of mammalian paws in
Night’s silver shadow • claws & soil &
Leaves & fur caught on fences • Pan, w/
Me, my children, sit: moon lit silhouettes
On hill as Cernunnos descends from
Treetop conferences of owl • all bodies
Heavy with rutwise heat • matting mane
With seed • Onan beasts ready to bay •
Bow heads to him • stamp of snakely
Staff breaks all to bacchanal • orgy in
Sun’s absence • all crawls all • quiver
Leg of stag • raccoon’s fist • curl of
Possum tail • I recline: my satyrs, my
Fauns • all body/one body • flesh & coat
& nail/tooth/talon • mix of all comes
Sputtering to earth • father dirt • father
Sky • father moon • horn grows: zenith
Of gorge, then subsides rising sun. ♂
