Plea Bargain

Chad Haskins

Let’s see if I can remember…

Her right foot is under a
soccer goal at Oak Park,

left ear—near the stage
at Lakeview Amphitheater,

right eye—a plucked jewel
in my freezer,

empty left ring finger—
behind Ebenezer Cathedral,

heart—
Vegas landfill,
choked down the throat
of her goddamn
mother-fucking dead lover…

together forever.
