transhuman loveletter

Nora Schimpf

i feel a tethered kinship, traced back to the same rib.

we shattered it

nurtured by identical calcium fragments. now

our bones, renewed, merge at each contact. were You ripped away from me in my sleep?

or i Yours?

reality warps in ecstasy,

the salt of where Your wings once

sprouted

the first taste of blood

nebulous

rain& streetlight

gather a final

glimpse
of humanity

take my hand and untether.
