Volume 7, Issue No. 4 will launch 10/31/2024 and will be themed “Queer, Feminist, & BIPOC Gothic,” with fiction guest-edited by Kirsten Imani Kasai. Submissions open until 7/31/2024.
From Kirsten Imani Kasai, fiction will be read for:
- innovative use of structure, form, voice and the page
- genre-melding or genre-defying
- contemporary and futuristic (utopia / dystopia) Gothic fiction with complex characterization
- visceral descriptions and immersive landscapes
- grim and lyrical prose
- unconventional horror (overt or subtle, but never gratuitous) nestled within a solid Gothic framework
